Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using portwarp ("the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

portwarp provides reverse-proxy tunneling that exposes services running on your local machine to the public internet through relay nodes. The Service includes a web dashboard, API, and desktop client application.

3. Accounts

  • You must provide a valid email address and choose a secure password.
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account.
  • One person or legal entity per account. Shared accounts are not permitted.
  • You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Transmit malware, viruses, or malicious code.
  • Conduct attacks (DDoS, port scanning, brute force) against third parties.
  • Host or proxy illegal content under applicable law.
  • Bypass security controls or exploit vulnerabilities in the Service.
  • Resell or redistribute access to tunnels without authorization.
  • Generate excessive load intended to degrade the Service for others.

Violation of these rules may result in immediate account termination without refund.

5. Plans and Billing

  • The Free plan provides limited tunnels and bandwidth at no cost.
  • The PRO plan is billed monthly through Paddle, our payment processor.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically. You can cancel anytime from your billing settings.
  • After cancellation, PRO features remain active until the end of the current billing period.
  • Refunds are handled at our discretion. Contact support if you believe a charge was made in error.

6. Service Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee 100% uptime. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, upgrades, or circumstances beyond our control. We do not provide SLAs for the Free plan.

7. Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. We do not inspect, log, or store the content of traffic passing through your tunnels. Connection metadata (timestamps, bandwidth) is collected for service operation.

8. Intellectual Property

The portwarp name, logo, code, and documentation are our property. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive license to use the desktop client and web dashboard for their intended purpose. You retain full ownership of the services you expose through tunnels.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, portwarp is provided "as is" without warranty. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings. Upon termination, your tunnels are deactivated and data is handled per our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice at least 30 days in advance.
